Here Come The Miracles was a real return to form for Steve Wynn, his finest solo album, despite the double CD length. Static Transmission simply confirms he's currently in the midst of his finest songwriting purple patch since the heyday of Days of Wine & Roses and Medicine Show. Miracles was great, this is /5(5). Album Notes: Steve Wynn's latest effort, released, Feb 24, in Europe and July 1st, in the US, Static Transmission picks up where Here Come The Miracles Left off. It is recorded in the studio, with mostly the same band (Jason Victor replaced Chris Brokaw on guitar). Reply

Steve Wynn was born in Santa Monica, California in and got his first guitar (a nylon-string acoustic) when he was nine, shortly after which he wrote his first song "Sing My Blues". He formed his first band "The Light Bulbs" that same year and the band made the circuit of parties and school functions; the band's oldest member was ten years old. Reply

A great, organic, rock'n roll album with well crafted lyrics. Miracle 3 here show that they have become a very tight unit, and I love Linda Pitmons backbeat. This album has a real album feel to it, and this band easily measures up to Wynn's eighties indie band, Dream Syndicate. Check out Live Tick as well. Live Tick is even better/5(10). Reply
