    Personally I prefer the full glam rock experience of Queen II, while Sheer Heart Attack is more commercial. There are some great songs here including probably my favourite Queen track of all - Brighton Rock. Pure genius. For the real Queen experience you need Sheer Heart Attack and Queen /5(). Reply

    After the elaborate "Queen II", Queen simplified their sound and rocked harder than ever on "Sheer Heart Attack". This transition is intimately captured (just prior to mega-stardom) on the great DVD "Live At The Rainbow '74". SHA was the last of their albums recorded on track/5(). Reply

    Queen II was a breakthrough in terms of power and ambition, but Queen's third album Sheer Heart Attack was where the band started to gel. It followed quickly on the heels of the second record -- just by a matter of months; it was the second album they released in -- but it feels like it had a longer incubation period, so great is the progress here.     Sheer Heart Attack Overview. This is the last album of the Trident era and the first for which they recorded some (or perhaps most) backing tracks outside England. It's also their first done on track analogue tape-recorders and one which featured several band members playing instruments different to their respective main ones. Reply
