Jun 16,  · I own both this LP as well as James Brown - Live At The Apollo - Volume clarversbrixmicfiruff.panklitumbbanexmarophedafverssincren.co criticism is the same for both LPs. I believe they are sourced from high resolution digital files. The resulting LPs sound fine--better than fine, really--but don't buy them/5(K). Reply

A BEST OF LIVE AT THE APOLLO: 50th ANNIVERSARY CD also contains tracks from an aborted album. James Brown may be gone, but the stunning breadth of his recorded legacy will always live on.. Here's the Track Listing for the original LP, the first CD issue and the later expanded CD issue: ORIGINAL LP: SIDE ONE: 1. Introduction & Theme /5(15). Reply

I own both this LP as well as James Brown - Live At The Apollo - Volume II. My criticism is the same for both LPs. I believe they are sourced from high resolution digital files. The resulting LPs sound fine--better than fine, really--but don't buy them. It's silly to buy a digital file pressed to wax. Reply

James Brown Live At The Apollo (Expanded Edition CD) Recording a live show in a theatre like The Apollo in was no small feat. The effort put into making this recording paid off in giving the world one of the greatest live albums ever made. The mastering done for this expanded CD makes the experience even better/5(). Reply

According to Alan Leeds-- tour director of the James Brown show in the late '60s -- by Brown was honored with the distinction of selling one million concert tickets during his various appearances at the famed Apollo Theatre. The first volume of Live at the Apollo [] captured the R&B fury that would single-handedly define the soul music genre. Reply
